The CD contains 19 videos showing lab testing techniques and medical treatments, as well as over 400 images and graphs, thus becoming a powerful knowledge development tool.

Created mainly by professor Nereyda Cantelar and Dr. Nereyda Cabrera, together with a group of specialists of the Pedro Kour? Cuban Institute of Tropical Medicine, the CD is also of use for Microbiology and Immunology residents, epidemiologists and journalist that specialize in medical article writing.

The six main topics contained on the CD include the analysis of biological agents? their historical developments, their being the main cause of health problems and the way these agents attack the body and the body?s response to their attack, and chapters on Medical Bacteriology, Virology and Parasitology.

Under the Ministry of Public Health and directed by Licentiate Alfredo Rodr?guez, CEDISAP has recently launched a CD on Intestinal Inflammatory Disorders, made by the Cuban Institute of Gastroenterology.
